The second in-person Transnational Project Meeting of the X-VET project took place on 1–2 July 2026 in Riga, Latvia, hosted by HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College.
The meeting brought together representatives from all seven partner organisations. The Riga meeting represented an important milestone for the consortium, offering partners the opportunity to review the progress achieved during the first months of implementation and to align the work plan for the coming period.
The agenda focused on the five Work Packages of the project, with particular attention to the finalisation of the Integrated Sustainability Workbook, the preparation of the X-VET MOOC, the future development of the Hackathon Guide, and the consolidation of dissemination and certification activities.
A central part of the discussion was dedicated to the Integrated Sustainability Workbook. The first sections of the Workbook, including the introduction, the X-VET Framework and the Competence Model, have been finalised. The consortium is now focusing on the development of the 10-Step Process Model, which will provide VET institutions with practical guidance, tools and references to integrate sustainability into their strategies, curricula and organisational practices. The Workbook will later be translated and piloted with professionals from VET institutions, sustainability organisations and industry partners.
The partners also discussed the development of the X-VET MOOC. The consortium agreed to use TUTOR LMS as the platform for the online course, together with H5P to support interactive and gamified learning activities. Further updates concerned the future X-VET Sustainability Hackathons, which will build on the results of the Workbook and the MOOC, and the dissemination, sustainability and certification activities. The Riga TPM strengthened cooperation among partners and confirmed the consortium’s shared commitment to supporting VET institutions in addressing the green, digital and economic transitions through an integrated sustainability approach.
